Havana is a city that sometimes seems frozen in time – the colonial architecture, vintage cars on the streets and the traditional warmth and hospitality weave an enchanting spell on everyone who visits.
You could spend weeks vacation in Havana and still do not feel as if he had touched the surface, but if you are looking for inspiration for things to do and do, here are four suggestions to start …
Drink Like Ernest Hemingway
Of course, I really advise not to drink Hemingway – Nobel author became famous for prodigious liver, fulminant consumption rate! But if you're on vacation in Havana, of course, you raise a glass for Cuba's most famous expatriates in one of his favorite places. El Floridita is the most famous, with the Daiquiri Hemingway is the drink of choice. He also liked drinking mojitos at another nearby bar – La Bodeguita del Medio.
To complete the circuit in the style of Hemingway, make sure to stop at the Ambos Mundos hotel bar, where the great man was and wrote the opening of For Whom the Bell Tolls.

Note that books accommodation quickly at the time the festival, so plan well in advance if you want to include a visit during your holiday festival in Havana.

Nothing embodies the spirit of the city such as dance and music. From salsa to son, jazz and reggae, is a culture of music and movement, and all in a Havana holiday Take the time to explore the local music clubs and dance. Music lovers should not miss in Irakere Jazz Club, founded by Chucho Valdes, one of jazz most famous country musicians. If you prefer to strut your funky stuff in one night, the Casa de la Música Centro Habana is where bright young things engaged their salsa steps and listen to the best bands.
Does anyone here sad about Lucky Dube dying?
died on October 18 and wanted to ask this before, but was not sure that here nobody has heard of him. The guy made the great music of Bob Marley and what we are about the same. After leaving their children outside the house its too realatives, his car was kidnapped and shot to death in South Africa. I know that homicide rates are well above their but I mean the guy is one of the legends of reggae ….. Especially not even say anything BET
I absolutely loved Lucky Dube – his music and lifestyle. I was surprised to hear of his death. I have been a fan since years. He wrote the lyrics their music was fantastic and very thought provoking. I still have trouble accepting that he is not here. RIP Lucky – Jah Guide. The only place I heard about this, aside from the reggae group on Yahoo I was in the interior of Africa, a program on CNN.
