Jamaica is a good place to promote and market my music?
I want to start somewhere. I'll be in the studio on Thursday to finally record my music I've been working so hard. I've been writing and writing. Next summer and school is closed soon, so I think it's a good idea to start making my goals. I want my voice heard. I have a very unique voice. I made some models, but now I want to make music. My music is like Reggae / Pop / R & B, mixed together, but mostly Reggae. I SingJay (Singer & Deejay). I just want to know if I should start in Jamaica. So what?
In truth, it doesn't matter where to start. What matters is if you have the talent and resources for maximum effectiveness in the marketplace that is in Resources may include: 1. The money (for production, promotion and wardrobe – a must for a woman). 2. (Guidance manager, lawyer, producer) 3. Contacts. Once these and use these in sufficient quantity and quality dent to its chosen market, you will have some success. How much success will depend on the quality and adequacy of their records. Jamaica is a very nice place for someone begin if your music is suitable for radio Jamaica (reggae, dancehall, dub). You could party and socialize in Jamaica for just a month and in a month, to develop contacts to the highest level of the local entertainment industry. With these contacts, all you need is some hard knocks and will be in touch with company executives records. In New York on the other hand, the industry is much more isolated. Its much more difficult (and costly) to make their way to the top. The thing is, however, that once they work their way to the summit in New York, they pretty much have access to the mass U.S. market, in terms of sales. An act of Jamaica, in comparison, has to repeat his magic to be come a success in the mass market. He (or she) has to hit in Jamaica, then grow / evolve to hit in the U.S.. The only "hard and fast rule" for a young (undiscovered) talent is that it can not be in Jamaica, trying to make music for the radio in New York or vice versa. Make songs that can get airplay on your local market SUPER. Do the songs that local audiences will love. Once you do that, open the doors to "step in the ladder." What study will be recording anyway?
